1. Overview
The Donkeyman Records Beat Competition ("Competition") is a music production contest run by Donkeyman Records ("Organizer"). By entering, participants ("Entrants") agree to abide by the following Terms and Conditions. These terms are legally binding, and it is important that participants read them carefully.
2. Eligibility
The Competition is open to individuals globally, aged 18 years or older.Minors (under 18) must obtain permission from their legal guardian to participate. Employees of Donkeyman Records and their immediate families are not eligible to participate.Entrants may submit multiple beats. Each submission requires a fee of AUD $20.
3. Submission Process
The Competition will open for submissions on 14th of October 2024 and close on 14th of November 2024. No late submissions will be accepted.To participate, Entrants must submit their beats through the official competition page at www.donkeymanrecords.com. Submissions must be in MP3 or WAV format. Each beat submitted must be original and created solely by the Entrant. Unauthorized use of samples or copyrighted materials is prohibited and may result in disqualification.
4. Entry Fee
An entry fee of AUD $20 is required for each beat submitted. This fee is non-refundable.Payment must be made via the Stripe and all fees must be paid before the submission is accepted.
5. Intellectual Property
Entrants retain full ownership and rights to their submitted beats.By entering the Competition, Entrants grant Donkeyman Records the right to showcase, promote, and publicly feature their beats on the competition website and through any Donkeyman Records platforms for the duration of the Competition and related promotional activities.Entrants may list their beats for sale during the Competition. Donkeyman Records is not involved in the pricing, sale, or transaction of any beats.
6. Judging and Voting Process
The public will vote for their favorite beats once the submission period ends. Donkeyman Records reserves the right to monitor voting for fraudulent or spam activity.Registered voters are allowed one vote per beat.The top 20 beats, as voted by the public, will move to the next round. These beats will be featured on the Donkeyman Records podcast.The final 5 beats will be reviewed by Donkeyman and a team of judges, and the winner will be selected based on public votes and judges' discretion.Donkeyman Records will also award a separate $500 prize for "Donkeyman’s Pick."
7. Prizes
Grand Prize: AUD $1,000, free entry into the next competition, and the opportunity to collaborate with Donkeyman or another artist. Top 5: Opportunity to collaborate with Donkeyman or another suited artist, with tracks recorded, mixed, and released by Donkeyman Records top 20: Donkeyman Records merch packs and a feature on the podcast.Donkeyman’s Pick: AUD $500 prize for Donkeyman’s choice of the best beat.Prizes are non-transferable. Winners are responsible for any taxes or financial obligations related to their prizes.
8. Winner Notification
Winners will be notified via email and announced on Donkeyman Records' social media platforms and website within two weeks of the end of the public voting period.If a winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within 14 days, Donkeyman Records reserves the right to select another winner.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
By entering the Competition, Entrants consent to the collection and use of their personal information in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Entrants' personal details will only be used for the purposes of administering the Competition and will not be shared with third parties without consent.
10. Limitation of Liability
Donkeyman Records is not responsible for any technical issues, such as website downtime or payment gateway errors, that prevent submissions or voting. Donkeyman Records reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Competition if any unforeseen circumstances arise that are beyond its control.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising from this Competition will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Australian courts.
